Day 2 & 3 of 60 Days Reading Challenge

Couldn’t publish this yesterday so I decided to just write for both days today. No worries, my $20 for yesterday is still very much intact (lewl).

Now, the essays in this book are mostly Michael’s random thoughts, views on life and some personal experiences. So, it feels like I’m in his head and it‘ s really beautiful.

I spent well over 30 minutes reading yesterday and today because I was had to spend time on Google reading about some of the people mentioned in the book (to get a clearer understanding of the contexts).

There’s this part where Michael Beirut wrote about the need for validation from people we percieve as superior.
Another sub (tearsssss).

This is something I found difficult to grow out of.
There was a time that I measured my growth by the number of commendations and compliments I got on the works I was putting out.

Well, I do read books a lot normally.
I can actually read for 2+ hours in one sitting and all.
But, I’m committing to being more consistent and intentional about what I read and why I read them.

Yeah, it gets boring and exhausting, but I’ll keep showing up, keep reading for 30 minutes or more, keep taking notes, keep recording, because I want to achieve those goals (also trying to not lose $20 plis, very important).

Thanks for reading.
Bye!
